Journal Exceptional child: teaching and upbringing? (Osoblyva dytyna: navchannia i vykhovannia ) is addressed to special education teachers, methodologists, instructors, clinical psychologists and counselors at special education settings and extra-curricular centres, to regular school teachers who have with special needs students in regular classrooms, instructors, degree and post-graduate students, academics and parents of children with special psychological and/or physical needs.
The journal accepts for publication research papers by individual and group authors about innovative strategies and their implementation into the practice of teaching and learning as a means to provide psychological and pedagogical support and assistance to students with special needs:
? speech and language problems;
? hearing impairments;
? visual impairments;
? mental and intellectual disabilities;
? delayed psychological development;
? autism.
A significant emphasis is placed on early identification, intervention and support for children with special needs, as well as the development of research-based principles and curriculum materials for inclusive education.
