Revista La Alberca is a publication dedicated to archeology and
history. The name of the magazine Revista La Alberca name comes from
the urban enclave which housed the Municipal
Archaeological Museum of Lorca and which brings to mind the Arab
origins of the town itself.
The aims of La Alberca are the study and analysis of the culture and
heritage of the region, the achievement of heightened self-awareness
of the Lorca's incredible history on the part of its
inhabitants, and increased public awareness of the importance of
preserving archaeological, artistic, historical and ethnographic
heritage in the municipality Lorca. Five issues have been
published to date.
